Cultivation tips:
Clivia is only part hardy in the UK so requires a very sheltered warm planting location that is not to sunny. Plant into any free draining fertile soil: good winter drainage is essential. Clivia also requires a limited root run to encourage flowering so consider planting in a pot, that way you can protect this plant under glass in the winter. Mulch around roots in autumn to protect roots from frost and provide fertility. Also be aware that all parts of this plant are mildy toxic.
