The large light apricot coloured flower spikes make ideal punctuation in a herbaceous or mixed border, pushing them selves upto 1.5 metres in height up above surrounding flowering plants.
Cultivation tips: Eremurus requires a fertile soil and moisture early in the season, but will tolerate dry conditions in mid to late summer, making it useful for planting in a hot dry border. Flower spikes might need staking in exposed locations and winter mulching with leaf mould or well rotted compost will help keep roots moist earlier in the summer.
